Popular Community Festival Is Focus for Fourth Episode of “A World Of Festivals” Series
Seattle, WA June 18, 2004 – Festivals.com (www.festivals.com), the leading resource on the Internet for information on fairs, festivals and community special events, completed the filming of The Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival over the Memorial Day weekend, May 29-31, making Eight Flags the third full half hour show in the series “A World of Festivals.” The TV show is an integral part of Festivals.com’s patented integrated marketing process, SurroundMedia™
SurroundMedia creates a multi-week, integrated media program around local community events by combining a half-hour TV show produced on an event with Internet-based consumer promotion and on site event sponsorship to deliver multimedia consumer impressions for a national sponsor and national awareness for a local event. Festivals.com launched SurroundMedia in November, 2003, and already its Planned Communities™, as it calls its network of festival and fair marketing partners, reaches more than 5 million consumers in 19 states, and represents a sponsorship inventory of over $11 million.
“Territory Days celebrates the pioneering spirit of Colorado Springs, and brings its historical perspective to our series, ‘A World of Festivals,’” said Charles Brown, Chairman and CEO of Festivals.com. “Its deep cultural roots in the community and its focus on the values and daily life when the West was being tamed combine to make it a rich content subject for the series.”
The film will be produced into a half hour show to air in multiple markets, including Colorado Springs, home to the festival.
